Tara is Kathleen Gallagher’s first book of poetry. The twenty-six poems in this book were written between 1979 and 1986. She has participated in poetry readings and workshops in New Zealand, Sydney and San Francisco. The cover drawing is by David Nepia.

you’re a taxi cab driver
I come from the mountains
